Decommissioning Services

Whatever a business’ reason for decommissioning a data center, it is often a time-consuming and expensive process – as well as one that can result in a large amount of e-waste. At Procurri, we help manage data center decommissioning projects to ensure the minimum amount of waste possible is generated, data is erased and removed wholly securely, and everything is completed as cost-effectively as possible.

Procurri’s data center decommissioning services include:

Specialist physical decommission

Procurri’s teams of expert technicians can ensure a seamless service is maintained for your end users when hardware is eventually turned off – re-routing all requests and traffic to your desired system instead. Our ‘Lift and Shift’ services include on-site support for the physical removal and decommission of all data center hardware assets; and we can work standalone or as an extension to your existing IT engineer team.

Secure transportation

All hardware is transported in secured single-driver vehicles that drive without stopping to secure ITAD facilities. Our transportation vehicles and processing facilities are all unmarked and only permit entry to those with the highest possible security clearance.

Unbeatable data removal – with guarantee

Procurri offers a full suite of data destruction services, including degaussing, physical bending/crushing, shredding and data sanitization. All assets are marked and tracked throughout with a certificate of data removal for every item guaranteeing its safe and total erasure.

Zero-to-landfill waste policies

As a company operating on a Carbon Neutral basis, Procurri never sends IT hardware assets to landfill and instead looks to recycle, refurbish and remarket equipment wherever possible. We work to the world’s utmost in e-waste standards to approach all ITAD as sustainably as possible.

Opportunity for revenue generation

Data center decommissioning can even result in potential revenue generation, where hardware is eligible for refurbishment and remarketing. Procurri will resell the assets and pass back the income generated to the business – creating an often-unexpected revenue stream in what’s all too often considered an ‘ending’ project.
